The Helsinki University of Technology, TKK, offers courses in all fields
of Technology and Engineering. Students can also choose to study Architecture
or Industrial Management. TKK is comprised of twelve departments which
offer nineteen different degree programs. TKK offers instruction in English.
Exchange students do not need to know Finnish or Swedish. They can complete
programs entirely in English.
The campus, designed by the Architect Alvar Aalto, is located in Otaniemi,
a beautiful peninsula surrounded by the sea in the City of Espoo. Espoo
is part of the Helsinki metropolitan area. Helsinki’s city center
is only 15 minutes away by bus. You can also reach Helsinki by bike along
safe bike paths in just half an hour.

Study tours:
Some of the above programs organize study tours to Lapland,
Russia, the Baltic countries, or Sweden.

Summer programs:
The Helsinki Summer School offers an opportunity to study for three weeks
in Helsinki. The Summer School offers ten multidisciplinary courses. The
courses are offered by universities in the Helsinki area. For further

Accommodation:
Some international students live on campus, others in student housing
in the metropolitan area. All international exchange students get assistance
in acquiring suitable accommodation. Student housing is modern and comfortable.
Most rooms are furnished, with kitchen and bathroom facilities shared
with other students. Some apartments feature complete telephone and Internet
connections.
