How to apply for an ISEP exchange in Finland?

Students enrolled at an ISEP member university outside of Finland may apply
for an ISEP exchange at a Finnish ISEP university. Please see the ISEP Coordinator at your home university’s Study Abroad or International Student Office for additional information. Applications can be downloaded from the Student Section of the ISEP Website. Placements for exchanges beginning in the Fall or the following Spring are made throughout the Spring months. Placements for the Spring semester continue throughout the Fall as long as space and sufficient processing time remain before the beginning of the exchanges.

Exchange dates: In Finland, the Academic Year is divided into two semesters. The Fall semester normally lasts from early September to late December and the Spring semester from early January to late May. Some Finnish ISEP universities also offer Summer programs with courses taught in English.

Quotes from ISEP students

The classes that I took were all in English - English is spoken by much of the population. Be open to what the Finns do...you might be surprised with some of their traditions...sauna is fun! Get a tutor, they’re a great asset. The winters aren’t that bad, coming from Kansas... Oh, and remember to go sledding and ice skating...they bring out the best in people... All in all, Finland is a great place...

Luke Rahjes

Finland was a springboard from which I was able to travel all over the place.

Christopher Steubing
