ISEP is affordable
All ISEP students participate in exchanges for little more than the cost
of study at their home university since program costs are based on the
normal costs of tuition, fees, and room and board at their home institution.
Federal and most other forms of financial aid can be applied toward participation
in the ISEP program.

ISEP students will receive the following benefits from their Finnish
host institutions:
Enrollment: ISEP participants
are guaranteed enrollment on a full-time basis for the exchange period.
Accommodation: Accommodation
is included for the entire period of the exchange, including vacation
periods. In Finland, accommodation is available in studio or shared apartments
at private student hostels.
Meals: In Finland,
ISEP exchange students receive a cash stipend covering the cost of three
daily meals.
Orientation Programs
and Advisory Services: Each Finnish ISEP institution organizes an orientation
program for new international students at the beginning of each semester.
The university’s ISEP Coordinator serves as a contact person for
exchange students.
Membership in the Student
Union: The membership in the Student Union entitles students to meals
at reduced prices at university cafeterias and restaurants, to reduced
fees on trains, and to subsidized care at the Student Health Service.
Student Services: All
normal academic and social services available to Finnish students are
also provided to ISEP participants. At some Finnish ISEP universities,
the Career and Recruitment Services may assist exchange students in finding
internships related to their academic fields at Finnish enterprises after
their study period at the host institution.
An ISEP student’s costs to Finland include the following:
A program fee determined
by and paid to your home institution
A placement fee charged
by ISEP
Health insurance
Travel, passport and
visa fees
Books and pocket money
Fees of optional study
tours
